Benn Creative

Benn Creative is a creative architecture and design consultancy. I worked with Chris at Denham/Benn where he was a Director, and when he went out on his own, I teamed up with him on some projects early on. He always has an influx of exciting, creative and interesting projects and pushes the boundaries of any brief. It is such a joy to work with him, his best piece of advice is that ‘no idea is a bad idea’ which always encourages thoughts to be said out loud, and ideas to be tabled even if they turn out to be rubbish. It’s a very good characteristic and creates an environment that encourages mistakes, and celebrates lucky outcomes. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and is passionate about all things design.

Involvement

This was a project that involved designing a brand new bespoke wedding venue. All gloves were off, we wanted something that was elegant and show stopping. We had this insane idea of draping a bit of lace over the frame of the building, and this is the concept we came up with. Very much enjoyed this process, and getting stuck into concept design again with Chris.
