WM Design & Architecture Ltd.

I was fortunate to spend nearly nine months working for WMD (Weapons of Mass Design I like to call them)  on the Isle of Anglesey before I began my Part II at CAT. They are a CIAT architectural practice and have extensive experience in listed building, and conversion projects in the North West of Wales, particularly on Anglesey. With an emphasis on the detailing of their designs, this was a really wonderful experience to get stuck into design and detail, and the specifications of projects. It was an immersive welsh language experience as well, and an incredibly friendly, open and welcoming part of the world.

Portfolio of Work

While working at WMD I had the opportunity to design a few bespoke houses, some conversions and an affordable housing scheme. They really encouraged me to design what I liked, and pushed me to stretch my imagination within the limits of the budget and specification. I learned a lot about different materials, and really loved the use of welsh slate, timber and stone. The detailing and attention to detail was what I took away from WMD. A pleasure to work with them, and an experience I'll never forget.
